I went short the market a couple of days ago, futures were down huge last night and would have loved to cover but I trade through Schwab and their pre-market trading doesn't start until 8 AM EST.

SPY was trading at 130.20 at 4 AM EST yesterday and was at 132 by the time the market opened. Still holding the short and futures are now up huge, trading at 132.50. Frustrating!!!

Yeah, overnight trading is one of the trickiest parts. You see an opportunity, but you can't access that market through many of the standard brokerages.

I have a tough time holding onto stocks for an extended period of time though sometimes its a good thing.

I opened up my brokerage account to invest in a company called HeadWaters back in 2007. Stock was trading at $15 then and is only $3 now.

However, I took a small loss on it and invested in other things and actually have doubled my original deposit even though my original stock has gone down by 80%.

I own shares in a Chinese company called kong zhong. Owned them before the crash and have been holding on. There should've been growth.
