For all you wicked smaht pricks that like to see people's views on the world, you'll be grumpy after you see how screwed the judicial branch (the one that money could never buy) is over tort reform.

The Bobby Fisher one is the too, even if you don't know anything about him or chess.

How is Boardwalk Empire? I hear it's the shit. I love Curb too. Currently have Showtime which is worth every penny just for Californication.

Boardwalk Empire is kind of crap.
Looks great, moves slower than slow. Some great characters. Not MUST see TV by any stretch, though. It's not even close to the level of say Californication or Dexter.
Game of Thrones was pretty good, with a potentially better 2nd season. A bit soapdish for me, but not bad for drama.
Obviously Curbs is the one on HBO... Which is starting in the middle of July about. Can't wait.

True Blood is a great show. Game of Thrones was amazing in my opinion and this next season will be even better. Entourage is getting ready to start which I always like. Boardwalk Empire is good, but the first season was a little slow because they spend so much time on character development. You can tell season 2 will have a lot more action because Al Capone is just getting ready to kick some major ass. Showtime's Dexter, Californication, and Shameless are great shows too.

                      HBO is solid.

Bored to Death, Hung, Entourage, True Blood, Eastbound and Down, Curb....Bunch of solid shows.

For some reason I can't wait for Entourage to start back up...Hated the past couple seasons, but of course had to watch them, but I think this year being the final in all, will be good.

But Showtime is good as well. The Big C, Weeds, Dexter and of course top TV SHOW OF ALL TIME CALIFORNICATION.

I downloaded all 10 episodes, haven't watched them yet but I want to. Also True Blood is the only Vampire series I like, screw all that gay shit on regular cable. True Blood has gotten a little too lovey dovey at times especially between Sookie and Bill but I still love the show.

One of my favorite shows though is Dexter, love that shit. I also like watching David Duchovny **** bitches in Californication. The Hung series on HBO is not bad as well.

I recently downloaded all of the Archer episodes based on some people telling me about it, it is an animated show that plays on FX I think and it's funny as hell. Imagine James Bond being a total ass to everybody, that's basically what the show is about and it's hilarious.

East Bound and Down is utter crap.
Me bloodfarting into a fan is WAY more amusing. Why that douche gets any airtime (no idea the lead char's name), but he's about as funny as well.... going to the local 7-E. At least there, they are real. Just sayin. East Bound and Down is about as bad of a comedy as I've seen in years - although, I DID tune into TNT for "falling skys" which sucks another fat one. The douche reminds me of seth rogen.. And he had a great bit part in 1 movie. Dang.
I about figure I just don't 'get' the comedy. To each, their own.

I do NOT watch trueblood, I hear it's great. I dunno, I missed The Wire, I want to watch that.

But back to the OP - HOT COFFEE is EYE OPENING, even for me. You work so hard not to let the media catch you - but on "Hot Coffee', they certainly did. I've seen Gasland, which is, IMO, the most importan documentary ever made (and most varifiable by human evidence), but Hot Coffee ****** me up. This goes back to my formative polical years. I remember the talking points. I had 0 idea. I didn't know why the President (CLINton) vetoed the tort reform bill.

To be honest, after watching Hot Coffee, reguardless of outcome, who is to blame, blah blah, tort reform is about as 'un-American' as I can think of. An American has the right to defend themselves. If not, you're not American.

Showtime's series are better at this point. Granted, I'm not a fan of True Blood or Boardwalk. HBO has to find another great drama. The days of Sopranos, The Wire, Deadwood, Six Feet Under, etc. are over. Their recent track record on dramas leaves a lot to be desired.

Tort "reform" is bs. One of many issues in which both Republicans and Democrats take the same position of bending over for corporations.
