Got mine an Audi last year and she loves it. I think I'm getting rid of my escalade soon to get back down to a car so she wants an SUV instead. Been looking at the Audi and Volkswagon ones and she loves them. Have her take a look at those.

For clarity - in my specific case it's the wife...you're right I'd never buy it for a girlfriend (those get smaller gifts to not tell said wife now ) but since not everyone here is married I threw in the girl option too since I'm sure they've heard theirs say 'oh, "thats the car I want because xyz"
And coach, you'd go even crazier than ya already are inside this onion of mine

I heard the Jeep Liberty is a nice mid size suv woman car.
I'm sure some of the women on this site have 1.

The Liberty is NOT, I repeat NOT, a bitch car.
It's a manly suv. That's why you see so many straight men driving them.
ps Nice trade in.

The reason I do the searching now is she doesn't grasp the concept of not paying sticker She has the 'see it, like it, buy it' compulsive personality and I'm the frugal one so all major purchases are done by me now.

My wife drives an X5. She loves it. She had one several years ago, then got a Range Rover. Never liked it as well as the X5. Rovers are great, but no way worth the cost, and have become way too pretentious for us.
Just got this X5 last spring, and absolutely loves it.

How's the car seat/ kid gear situation in the X5? Don't need tons of room since we only have one for now....but you know how it pays to be able to carry the bags and a jogging stroller if need be . We looked at a Nissan Murano this morning....more room in there than it looks from the outside so I'm guessing that's how it is with the BMW also?

Great room in the X5. We only have the one kiddo, but as you know, they take up tons of room. I'm a big guy (6'7), and this car is one of the few that is totally comfortable for me to drive long distances and not feel cramped.
I have nothing bad to say about BMW. Great service, great company.

We'll have to drive into Atlanta this weekend to look/drive the X5's ....the local BMW place here where she got her other one is full of every vehicle BUT the X5 until next week. Yeah our 18 month old travels heavier than I do! So I know the feeling. The company gives great service....from the Otis Spunkmeyer cookies in the lobby to the fact that they'll pickup your car for an oil change and leave you with one to drive while they get it done

go with a nice F-350 extended cab, with 9 in. lift, 40 in. tires...head down to the drive-in , jump up in that bed...rip one out, smoke a nice fatty...eat a few handfuls of mushrooms..some LSD...everybody has smiles...then pile back into the truck for slingin' a little mud on the way home...good times for all....
