    Anyone here ever go through a "lifting weights and buy supplements" phase?
    I can't believe the amount of money I used to spend on whey and other crap like NO Xplode and Lipo 6 and all that. I used to spend around $100 a month on this crap and looking back it was all a waste. You don't need any of that to gain muscle.

      got buddies that did that.. all gave up and found out they were being hustled by advertising..

      btw:

      get a job working outdoors lifting 50+ pound stuff.. you'll be buff in no time!

        i spent so much money on whey, casein, dextrose, weight gainers, protein bars, creatine and all other sorts of shit...so i should stop? lol i got about 10 tubs of protein i think it'll hold me over for some time

            bullshit... I gained 10kg less than 3 months, I had eating 200g protein/day, cca. 500g ch and 50g fat, this is the "secret"

                  But it did feel as if, when I'd be taking 20 pills a day, that I always did feel better and workout better. Seemed to be that all those supplements were all just a motivation for me.

                        im in that phase....got my pre during and after drinks lol...all first time trying them. I might keep the pre one for energy and the protien but thats it. Ive put on 12 pounds in the last 3 months all muscle so im happy with the results

                                Im studying to be a Personal Trainer and you dont need Protein Powder. Yes I do have Syntha 6 sitting in a cupboard but I dont use it. When you first starting working out you do need protein powder because it helps a great amount. But if you go to the gym on a regular basis and work out properly you dont need Protein Powder. Americans eat more protein then the body even needs and people that take loads of protein are just pissing it all out.


                                I take Sci Fits Glutalyn which is just a pill form of Glutamine but I do absolutly love it it does a great deal for me since I push myself hard at the gym.

                                Along with N.O. 370 I get a lot more done with my preworkout drink because im able to push more. And when I dont drink one I dont get the complete workout I feel like I should be getting.



                                But as far as Protein goes its a waste of money in the end

                                  eating 10 eggs a day is going to kill you dude but keep on eating them eggs you only need 2 eggs a day if eggs are a part of your diet

                                    you eat more then 200g of protein a day and you simply dont need that much protein. If you were taking 200g of protein from a protein shake then you were probably consuming 300 to 350g of protein a day

                                                    Placebo effect is probably true...but i just drank my protien powder and pre work out mix and my mind feels like I need to work out so the placebo effect is working and getting me to go to the gym which is better than not going to the gym

                                                              Edit: be skeptical of people involved in fitness giving you advice. They tend to talk out of their ass, a lot. Many reading this thread have probably heard about muscles burning a lot of calories? That's BS.
