Forest Fire choking us from 200+ miles away

Late last night, I got off of work. Their is this forest fire in Alpine Arizona which is over 200 miles away from us that gave us a little hard time breathing.

Unprecedented in my life.

I could feel ash getting into my eyes.

That fire felt like it was right next door, the smoke was so overwhelming.

The horizon was blotted out from all the smoke.

We have a second night in a row of a wildfire 200+ miles away making it uncomfortable for us to breathe.

To me, it's bizarre how a fire a couple hundred miles away could cause this amount of smoke and ash that it carries this far.
I can smell the ash inside my apartment, and everything is shut.
A little odd.

Last night, about 7 in the evening, there was so much smoke that we couldn't see across the street.

260,000 acres turned to ash in Arizona is the latest that we've heard.

One of the strangest things I've ever been apart of. For the last week, it smells like a constant bonfire, in town.

Just heard on the news that smoke from that fire is being seen in Iowa.

Talked to somebody from Colorado Springs that said they could feel a little smoke and I thought that was pretty far.

Right now, a little hazy on the horizon.
I was gonna go outdoors for a jog but too much smoke. Going to have to do that indoors on the treadmill.

I work by the airport and talk to a lot of out of state people.

Last couple of days, perfectly clear New Mexican skies that we're all accustomed to.

About 7-8 in the evening, we get a lot of haze.
We can even feel the ash indoors its so strong.
