I have a blackberry torch. But I'm sure all the droids and Iphone have it. You can listen in to live police radio broadcast. I live 5 mins from a war zone, and the cops are always flying by my building. Its kool to tap 2 buttons on my blackberry, and find out what is going on, within seconds. Anybody else use this app?

I've used it a few times randomly, forgot about it the one time I saw 7 cops blow by me though. Found out the next day it was a high speed chase.

I do and it works. Not that I advocate drinking and driving but I also like to avoid late night hassles, I skipped a checkpoint on the way home from work the other night using it.

It's difficult to do on the fly, flip it on and listen for the road you're planning on taking home for 15-20 minutes. A lot of times they'll radio in an ID or plate instead of taking the time to look it up themselves.

I'm not surprised. Went down to a White Sox game wednesday and even though technically that part of town is not terrible, you could definitely tell it was getting worse the further south you went. I doubt I'll spend any more time on the south side. Loop and north to Lincoln Park for me.
