WOW am I lucky as fukk..... Just got back from police station. Was sitting in holding cell for 4 hours until I got a hold of my brother. He bailed me out. I am going to court for reckless driving however... I passed the sobriety test that the cop gave me on the sidewalk. I had to follow the pen from side to side, i had to count from 30 to zero backwards, I had to say the alphabet A to R, I had to stand on 1 foot and count to twenty.... And I passed it with flying colors baby. The cop knew I was either over the limit or real close bc he said well there is no way in hell your driving tonight but considere today your lucky day since you did good with the field sobriety test. I am like ok.... ughh time to go to bed
Almost got DUI this morning....

#4Don't drive drunk - it's a bad gamble.
One DUI will cost you about 5k in legal costs and increased insurance premiums.
$20 Cab: putting up with an accent if you engage in talk.
You think you have less than a 1 in 250 chance of getting a DUI? Take a cab.
That, and roughly half the accidents killing people involve alcohol. At 0.10, you're about 5 times as likely to get in an accident as a sober driver.
Most people don't realize how easy it is to get to 0.08. If you're an average 200 pound guy and have 2 tall ones (22 oz beers) in 1 hour, you're right at the edge. A third one in the next hour will put you over.
If you like to drink late, you could be drunk the next morning. If you go out at 10pm and drink 12 beers, this same big guy might be over the limit at 8am the next morning.
The more successful drunk driver programs are no longer trying to get people to quit drinking. Instead, they are trying to make you aware of your status, and change habits. It's easy to have a good time and be safe, but you have to plan ahead.Comment -

No, said I passed the Field Sobriety test and he goes.... "I know for a fact you are right around .08 so consider this your lucky day" I go, yes officer I will admit I am very close to the legal limit, I have sober friends or family that I can pick me up in 10 minutes. He said well I am going to take you into the police station to book you for reckless driving and make sure your not driving. I am like ok whatever, they put me in the holding cell and I had to wait until 6 am to get picked up. It was bs but I cant complain I didnt get a DUI and I VERY well could haveComment -

#20Yeah you did got lucky that you got caught by a cool cop. For some reason, maybe the way you look or something, he decided he wanted to give you a second chance. DUI penalty is substantial more impactful on your insurance and driving record than reckless driving.
I had reckless driving too, but managed to fool the Breathalyzer when I was stop at a field Sobriety checkpoint several years ago.Comment -

Yeah the part that scared me the most is my buddy just bought me a shot of Jameson at last call. So I knew that probably put me over the top. I was just cooperative as can be, answered all the questions he asked, and tried to be as civil as possible and luckily he was very cool. I focused as hard as I could with the Field tests and the one that gave me the most trouble was the standing on 1 foot, lifting up my left toe staring at it and counting to 30.Comment -

Man blows .548% after running out of gasMan blows .548% after running out of gas

KOSCUISKO COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Police found a severely drunk man in his car on the side of the road after he ran out of gas early Sunday morning.
Police said Bradley Wine, 28, of North Webster, had a dangerous Blood Alcohol Concentration of .548% when they found him inside of his car at County Rd. 250 East and LaPoint Drive at around 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators believe his car ran out of gas and he stayed in it and continued drinking until Officers found him when they responded to a call of an abandoned vehicle.
Wine was taken to the Kosciusko Community Hospital in very serious condition.
Most studies say that BAC levels of .50% or greater are normally fatal. The legal limit in Indiana is .08%.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies said the blood lab test results and information from the scene will be forwarded to the Kosciusko County Prosecutors' Office for potential charges related to the incident.
