Watched "Skyline" recently and it started off promising but ended up hating it.

Exact same thing happened when I watched "Monsters" as thought it had a great idea, but just screwed it up.

Dunno if you can call it a rubbish movie, but I was pretty disappointed with Shutter Island - was hyped up to no end and was really expecting it to be better than it actually was...

It's ranked no#2 in my top ten movies of the past decade and I'm straight. It's not about that at all. It's in the same vein as Rocky covering the theme of the indomitable human spirit.
