Ontario's Drive clean program is nothing but a cash grab

This drive clean program here in Ontario is garbage. I drive a Honda Civic, which expells almost 0 emissions when compared to other vehicles. It's stupid that I should even have to have my car tested. Obviously, the government knows which vehicles produce the most carbon. We should only be testing those vehicles.

Im going to get a hybrid and then the ministry of the environment can...

What if you don't have catalytic converters?

My girlfriend has to get both her cars checked every year it seems. which sucks because her daily driver throws a CEL, luckily her dads a mechanic and can get rid of it.

Neither of mine have cats, but I have mine registered under my dads name and at their address.

not concerned with environment. Much worse out there than my 2 cars, until they get rid of those I won't be worried.

I failed and then had to get repairs and such. Even after that, my vehicle only received a conditional pass.....

Well if ur car is pre 1988 and doesnt have a cat, it would probably auto fail... but it doesnt matter cuz cars that are pre '88 dont have to be tested, which is BS!

They are targeting cars that are already relitively clean.

We should be targeting factories, diesal trains, and transports. My car probably puts out what most factories do in .000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000001 seconds.
