You must just close your eyes and listen to enberg because that padres offense is an embarrassment. I wouldn't watch that garbage unless I was drunk.

Vin Scully could make reading a grocery list exciting. His stories in between the action are price less & any chance I get to hear him I make sure I do.

i fondly remember dick enberg doing afc playoffs for nbc. callmechip nailed it on the head. a voice truly made for broadcasting.

that ballpark is a very nice place to watch a game. hit up happy hour in the gas lamp beforehand as well.

Agreed...They are excellent. I pretty much can't listen to anybody else; guys who think they have to talk every f***ing minute, or try to amuse with their scripted 'jokes'.....

I watch most of the Padres game because I live in San Diego. I don't find Enberg appealing at all. Maybe because I am from a younger generation. I enjoyed Matt Vasgersian with Mark Grant as they were bringing fun facts when the Padres were down. Sometimes Enberg won't be watching the game and I would assume he was not notified about the pinch hitter and still talks assuming it's the same batter and you got the TV screen showing us the new batter's name. Mark Grant will hurry up and make the correction.
Either way, I'm contempt with them calling the game.

The best thing about Dick Enberg is that he doesn't do the NCAA tournament any more. I think he's perfect for tennis, but the "oh my" and his tone of voice doesn't translate well to other sports any more IMO.
