US: DNA Test Match Proves Bin Laden Death

Osama bin Laden's death has been confirmed by DNA tests that show a "virtually 100%" match with the al Qaeda leader, US officials have revealed.

Supposedly a picture was released on Pakistani televison according to this article, so I am surprised that it hasnt been released somewhere on the web by now...

I'm dubious of the claims. There seems to be little proof to go with the media coverage. If he's anything like Saddam he has a couple of lookalikes. How exactly will they know if it's him without DNA/Dental testing or some such impartial method. If there is any wound/burning that obscures the body or face it muddies the waters even further.

This picture could not be more obviously fake, however that's beside the point as it wasn't released by the USA but rather moronic sensationalist media...

The whole story however sounds like a good old CIA fabrication to me. They could not find a dude who they now claim was hiding in plain sight? They say he was hiding in a multimillion mansion on the outskirts of Islamabad, just an hour away... surrounded by 17 feet high walls (5m) with barbed wire on top!? And then several more layers of walls between the outer wall and the mansion? Yeah sure, a building like that would definitely not stand out at all... and of course it would take the nearing election time for such a building to raise a suspicion and call for action. Furthermore, if I heard it right, there were only 5 casualties - 1 believed to be his son, 2 couriers and a woman who they supposedly used as protection? What about security? The most wanted person on the face of the earth did not have a single body guard? I'm not talking about a whole army (that would be too suspicious after all, unlike the building he was found hiding in) but a bodyguard or two could surely fit into that cosy "cabin" without drawing too much attention?

They say a helicopter was downed, yet no casualties on American side? I guess it's possible, just no likely knowing the Americans and their past experience with downed chopters even outside of the immediate battle.

What about all the tunnels the Talibans are known for? Apparently some IT guy who lives in the neighborhood reported the whole incident over Twitter as he happened to hear an approaching helicopter at 1AM their time and found it strange enough to Twit about it, yet Osama and his "crew" somehow overlooked it and carried on with their beauty sleep? And this is the guy who managed to evade the worlds best security agencies for a decade? Yeah, it all makes perfect sense...

dude was like 6'11 or something like that. hard to believe there would be others who shared not only his unmistakable features, but his height as well.

I agree with the other poster, though, you're in a firefight/ gunbattle and only kill OBL, a woman, two couriers, and one of his sons? and a copter was shot down? who shot it down, the son or the woman? some seious BS here. hopefully more details to follow, including the photo. If it's true there are proably hundreds of photos and at least a few videos. Just show parts of one of them.
