is there a programme that highlights mistakes in your code, to kinda show you where your going wrong

using notepad they dont seem to have any

I know visual studio does, but you'll be chained to msft's .net technology.

Also matlab's script editor highlights errors... sometimes. Check out eclipse and crimson editor too.

God damn programming I hate doing this shit. You write a bunch of code (1-2 hours) worth then you forget a "." or a ";" and your program doesn't compute. I am so glad I am done with that shit. By the way I am a EE predominately using MatLab now so you live and you learn 
