Easter is the Resurrection of Jesus -- Resurrection is when Jesus returned to bodily life the third day after his death via crucifixion. Ascension is when Jesus's resurrected body is returned to heaven 40 days after the resurrection. Nice try looking Christian pal.

Ive never understood this. Why is easter more important than good friday? IF jesus gave his life, how is that a bigger deal? The sacrifice is more important than the reward.

Been struggling with my Christianity for years. Easter has meaning for me still, just clouded due to my lack of effort and interest in my 20's and now 30's. Not a positive feeling in my life when I think about it... hope to improve it and still feel my religion is important.
