I've seen the previews but haven't really watched it yet, need to set the DVR I guess. I wonder what happens when people find out all their expensive stuff in their storage locker has been sold since they didn't claim it....should make for good drama.

If it's the one where people are bidding on the abandoned storages and make profit on what they find, then it's on the A&E Channel.
I like that show. I don't watch much TV, only for sports.

The hidden aspect of the show, thats not really discussed is having the outlet to sell what you find in the units....its like Pawn stars where they always seem to know "experts", if the common person were to purchase storage units we'd be limited to local swap shops, Ebay, Classified Ads and Craigslist.... and in reality how long could you afford to hold onto some crap while it sells?
Thats not to even getting into the additional hours it would take to sell everything

They make it seem like "mad money" is being made on the show, but in reality its more of a job, taking hours and hours to get your money out of a unit

Some people just clean their houses out, put their junk in there and never pay the bill, so a lot of them are filled to the ceiling with complete crap, like broken toys, old magazines, etc.

But some probably move and forget it, or someone passes away and the rest of the family didn't know about it, etc.

exactly, people will watch these shows and think they could go to an auction and make money, and they will end up going home with out their jockey underwear, maybe you'll get lucky but mostly likey people will just look stupid, and majority of the time the lots are junk
