When I was like 20 years old, there was this kid whose parents gave him TONS of money to do whatever he wanted with. Rich family, and they pretty much gave him money so he'd stay out of their hair. I needed some money for some reason, dont think it was gambling related. I was in a band at the time, and had a GREAT Marshall tube guitar amp worth about 800-1000 bucks.
I sold it to him for about 250 bucks. Watched him put it in his garage and then he got in his car and went somewhere. I just walked into his garage and took it back. All this took place in about a 15 minute span. I think years passed before the kid even noticed it was gone.

i hope you still have that marshall WV. they can be worth some decent $$$ if they're of the older more vintage models.

It's still in the basement. Not only is it worth a good bit, but I have always loved it....real emotional attachment. My heart was breaking as he handed me the money for it, but I needed the money. College days. When I watched him leave, I felt reborn I thought "shit, Im gonna go get my baby back."

if they are worth about 2000 does that mean you will only get about 1000 max for them? if so i would pawn them to pay off the debts and come back to get them when you get enough money.

I was going to reply with the standard "oh I know, I am not proud of it." Then I realized that I am proud of it

Yea, still works great. I had it serviced about two years ago and the owner of the shop offered to give me about a grand for it, but I declined. I started playing guitar when I was about 17, was in numerous bands for 5-6 years of my life. Music is the reason it took me 6 years to get a 4 year degree. I dropped out to play music, but eventually went back. I am a terrible guitarist, by "good technique" standards, but there is VERY little that I cant play. I used to play that Marshall tube 2X12, with a fender 2X12 cabinet attached....making one of the greatest full stacks in the area at that time. Played a Gibson Les Paul through it. Heaviest guitar I have ever seen....I almost had to lie down and rest after a set. You can turn that stck up to 10 and hear it crystal clear from blocks away. I did eventually sell the cabinet attachment, but kept the amp and guitar. Barely ever play anymore.

believe it...I was a regular leather jacket wearing "punk" in my younger years. NONE of my friends were into sports, so I could never really share that with them. My old man thought I was a nut job because of my appearance, but we both LOVED sports, and that kept us close.

sounds like a nice set up you had WV. very awesome that its still in good working condition. imo, hold on to that puppy as long as you can!
and sorry to the OP for the clutter in the thread, but he ignored questions as to what kind of coins he had and started posting replies to his own damn thread. so i said fukk it.

jk
it was a joke the pawning the coins
the bad check and the pawning class ring were true, and they kinda were more along the title of the thread......
more so than musicians that gamble
