It's not for gay people to embrace their difference, but for the society to do the same. Society has always, and will in the future, discriminate against what is "different" - be it blacks, gays, handicaps etc. It's a break from their usual mold; something outside of their comfort level. Does it make it wrong? Not at all, which is why you should be willing to accept the differences among people.

What you did was, portray people of a certain sexual orientation in a way that I would consider vile, since it aims to mock their existence and portray it as "wrong".
