Damn, just had a friend lend me the first season of SPARTACUS on bluray. SICK TV series!! anyone else get into it?

Yeah, really liked it. I just saw the first series in January, good and bloody, just like a good gladiator movie should be. Check out the prequel "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena". It just ended, but you should be able to find it online. The very first scene of the first episode is fukkin wicked. Gladiator gets his head split in two right above the jaw, tongue's flapping around and blood spurting.

Have to wait until next year for the 3rd series, should be good.

Yes, super acting and realistic events!
I had to get mine off netflix last year and could only get one session at a time. By the time each new dvd came, I was slobbering with anticipation.

If you enjoy that one you'll like this one also...the ROME series, which came out about 6 years ago.
Another great story, sexy ladies and unbeatable English acting. I was really impressed with the man that played Caesar, plus, the hot redhead that played his wife. Superb entertainment!

I saw the 1st episode of "Camelot" on Starz, was pretty good. Shows some promise, but it will be hard to match Spartacus.

I think Camelot should be decent.

Spartacus was great, sucks what happened to Andy Whitfield, but oh well, hopefully his replacement will be as good. The first episode was horrible and almost stopped watching it, but glad I didn't, because the last few episodes were just awesome. Last season was pretty good also, when they explained how Crixus came to be, and how Batiatus came to be the leader of the house.

Thanks for the links but I already have the shows recorded but just have not got around to watching. I had no idea they re-cast the role. That sucks. Hopefully everything for Whitfield turns out alright.
