After a long time of being single and just loving the fact that i can do whatever i want whenever i want. I have decided to join one of the dating sites like match.com or eharmony. havent decided which one yet. Reasoning behind this is i come from a relatively small family and usually visit my parents about once a week.And have just noticed in the last 6-12 months that they have really lost a step and its time to just grow up a little bit. But my question is when going on a blind date how do i handle the gambling issue. do i not say anything in the beginning. if i comtinue to see the girl how long do i wait to talk about it or do i not talk about it.

I guess it depends on if you are a recreational gambler or if you rely on it for money and/or betting HUGE sums of money. If it is something that you do for income...you kinda have to tell her. If its a recreational thing...no need to bring it up for a long while.

Gambling is such a bland and distasteful word. Why not something fanciful like: "I'm a financial consultant for a sports firm" or "an intermediary for an investment firm that deals with top-notch sporting prospects." Be creative and deceptive, not honest and naive. Most girls despise gamblers, period. I made the mistake of telling several girls that I dated that I like to gamble, and their entire demeanor just changed into either one of absolute disgust or that shit-faced expression of "WHAT A DAMN LOSER!"
