I've just never felt pressure like this before, they are literally close to killing people with the demands, and there's basically no way out.
pray for me, those who care and do that, and to those who say negative things, god be with you too.
God be with you?
Brock is cracking.
Never heard him talk like this.

From Cougar's older thread when you had a meltdown:
..So he borrowed some money from people at work. I don't know how much. He used this money to try and get what he had already lost back. It didn't work. He lost their money as well and took out a car title loan, and also wrote some bad checks, one from the Credit Union-and that account he already closed. Also some more checks that he knew he didn't have the funds to cover. I believe if he can't fix this with the banks he could go to jail..

I personally find that long hours coding is the best way to be the most productive. More breaks = more review = wasted time.

It involves me and one other guy testing software and we have to split up our shifts, previously worked 8:30 to 5:30 approx..
Weekends seem like they are a thing of the past till this thing get stabilized, and it feels like it never will, been a month now and shit is still going crazy.
I get a week off at the end of this week and its not a minute too soon, i'm mentally fried and have had trouble sleeping for months.
Please guys, give me some useful advice.
I get a lot of "one day at a time", and "don't take things so seriously"..but please, some practical advice from workaholics out there, What can i do to feel more comfortable in my skin with something quite challenging, and very demanding.
Please help...
delivering pizzas will do these things to you I guess...sorry you feel so much stress...are they still holding you to the delivery in 30 minutes or less rule?
Just get the pizza to the door warm...

fuk you assholes on the pizza comments, that hasn't been part of my life since last july
And i know i'm "just testing", but the complexity of this new software is mind boggling, no wonder there are so many issues, its hard to know where to start

Are you a beta tester or QA for testing software builds?
Maybe this is good and you can focus more on a consistent income as opposed to gambling.

I'm sure he's getting paid 8/hr. So the bitching will occur. If he was making some real money we would see a completely different thread from him on how he has made it finally.

I work at a large IT company and there have been enormous layoffs over the last 3 years due to the recession. As a result, the people left like myself are ending up doing the work of 3 to 4 people. Everyone is on salary but the firm has now implemented an overtime pay policy which at least compensates one for the evening hours. It helps balances things in the short term but you still need time to get 'disconnect' from work nonetheless.
Perhaps a long vacation would be in order here Brock?

Its just a crazy situation where one day seems different from the next, i can't get into a routine, and the bosses here don't really give a rats ass.
