Have you ever convinced a wife or girlfriend that such and such a show that you used to watch as a kid was the most awesome show on tv - EVER .. only to rent it out from the local Blockbuster or from Netflix .. and then - 5 minutes into it ... think to yourself .. what the HELL was i thinking ... this show sucks .. !!!

I suspect that this is how we are all going to feel when we start watching this ..

I've been thinking the same thing this whole time. Being a down-and-out dirty white kid was all the rage back then. Reflected in the music, culture, all of it. So different now. I'm sure Mike Judge has the smarts to translate it to today, but not sure what that would even look like.
