Aliens certainly exist but the distances between stars is utterly vast and it highly unlikely that any other civilsation has developed the knowledge to cover them.

Highly unlikely.

The nearest star that has a planet (or moon) which has any hope of sustaining intelligent life is 21 light years away (about 120 trillion miles) and even that is a long shot. Even if we could build spacecraft that could go 20 times faster than we currently can, a journey there would take 28,000 years.

I was going to include God but I was trying to keep religion out of this one.

I wish i had the time to break down each of the silly assumptions you just made...

lets assume we can figure out the surface of every celestial body in a 21 light year radius (which i doubt)... The idea that all intelligent life breaths oxygen and needs a sun and needs [insert more scientist bable] is a bit self centered in regards to the earth population and EVERYONE ELSE.

I'll believe what scientist say... when we can successfully create mummies and successfully build an insane amount of pyramids using 2000 year old technology...

The earth... and its technology is not as advanced as you might want to think... AND while we are at it... there is no way we could measure how we measure up on the technology scale of other life in the universe (if it exists)

I hear they are working on an improbability drive though... that will allow a vessel to travel across all points of the universe in a single moment... when the earth has that...then i will call us advanced...

WE are so advanced, but cant get to the moon (*again* depending on who you ask)
