Cornhole Is Awesome... experiment thread

Is there a better backyard game out there... will there ever be? Do you play cornhole, own a set, what's on it? Why is it called cornhole? What will the next great backyard game be called?

Once the warm weather hits, I love playing with my wifes cornhole (set) and getting drunk... can do it all night.

This is my first attempt at a thread in the Saloon... I might be on to something here.

Much rather play that...We call it sticks around here.


We use Tiki Torches, then take out the canister where you put the liquid. Put a large plastic red cup over the tiki torch, then the beer bottle on top. Much more challenging game to throw a frisbee from 25 feet away or so and try to hit a 2 inch diamater stick.

Made my own set...

Tennessee checkerboard endzone print for about the top 1/4 of the board and then the power T logos on the bottom 3/4s of the board... I put a piano hinge on the back leg so they're fold up but I like this hinge as it is more stable...

Love to play it though.

Sticks is really fun too. We have a backyard Olympic Games every summer and play cornhole, sticks, cowboy golf, and bocce ball.

Cornhole is a great tailgating game. A bunch of people I know call it Bags. I'm glad to see people here call it Cornhole.

Agreed its a great game. Few things are more frustrating though when you only need 1 point and make it in the hole and have to go down 3.

A few years back the county fair was having a cornhole tournament set up & there was a big ad in the paper. My boss & I laughed for 3 fukin days straight about the cornhole tournament. We made up lists & hung around work for people to sign up & play cornhole, we were cornhole fukin crazy. I had never heard of the game cornhole but even the way the the rules were stated in the ad even sounded like fukin in the ass.

Well, about 3 weeks later my girlfriend & I were invited to a party. A good friend who everyone thinks is gay but I dont. We pull up at the party & the first thing you see is a big cornhole setup.
