#2I really like coupon clipping and hunting. Our stores only double coupon up to .50 (1.00 total). With the circular specials and coupons, I can get like boxed rice side dishes for .20 cents. Buy one get one free cereal for the kid. Frozen Red Barron pizza for a buck.
Things that are killing my grocery bill right now
1. Meat....hard to find any coupons
2. Produce especially vegetables. Northern state...during the summer can get the veggies for really cheap. Now its a wallet crusher. 2.00 for a head of cauliflower that was 60 cents at farmers market during the summer. Peppers expensive...even lettuce
Blogs like the krazycouponlady post their findings for hot coupons
I have not paid for a redbox rental in months...tons of free codes out thereComment -

#8One thing I've found out, at least with stores in my area, is that they will put reduced meats out around 7:30 AM every day. They're a little dated, but if I'm going to immediately use them, or deep freeze them, it isn't that big of a deal in quality.Originally posted by mighty maronI really like coupon clipping and hunting. #9yup. having worked in a grocery store meat dept back in high school we would reduce the current days meat that morning. that shit would get snatched up in a heartbeat. people would be waiting for us to bring it out and some wouldn't even wait for us to take it off the trayOriginally posted by Mr KLCOne thing I've found out, at least with stores in my area, is that they will put reduced meats out around 7:30 AM every day. #18Only problem is that the wife pitches a holy bitch fit if she sees the reduced meat packages or dented cans in the kitchen. I have to rush home...cut it and freeze it then hid the packaging.Originally posted by blackbeSStyup. having worked in a grocery store meat dept back in high school we would reduce the current days meat that morning. that shit would get snatched up in a heartbeat. people would be waiting for us to bring it out and some wouldn't even wait for us to take it off the tray

#19Come on how can you compare the two?Originally posted by EXhoosier10Do you also play at 20 cent books? Because you're giving away free money there too.
To physically walk into a store and hand the cashier a coupon for 50 cents off a bag of milk would be embarrassing to me.
I would use online coupons where I wouldn't have to show my face. ,

#21Don't fully understand why people wouldn't want to use coupons. I rarely do only because they are usually for things I'm not going to buy anyways. So if I can get something that would be $5 FOR $4 it might be a deal but it's still $4 more than I would have normally spent. On the odd occasion where I come across one for one of my normal purchases of course I will use it.Comment -

#29You can get coupons off the Redplum and Smartsource websites weekly. The main website I use is www.couponmom.com. You can actually go to your regional area from this site, and it will tell you the biggest deals you can get with the discount the grocery store offers combined with coupons you receive in the Sunday papers. Already have my lists made out with the coupons stapled to them for this weeks shopping. Can't wait to get my free Uncle Ben's rice!Originally posted by raidersfanWhat are the websites?Comment -

#31What I like to do with raw meat is...
1) Buy it at Costco and then vacuum seal and freeze it (Device and also be purchased at Costco). Let the meat thaw in your fridge for a day when you want to use it.
2) When Ralphs (or your local grocery) is selling a kind of meat at a special price buy a whole bunch of it and seal and freeze it. I have seen Ralphs sell it dirt cheap and all you need is your club card.
Option 1 is more expensive but is Prime. Option 2 is cheaper but is Choice (usually)Comment -
