It is unbelievably ironic that latinos, who say this and think they're crafty, probably have heavy Spanish European blood in them and speak Spanish, a European language, when the whole intent of saying that phrase is to express some confirmation of their (partial) Amerindian heritage, not Spanish (which is where "Latinos" comes from to begin with).
