When one of these fools releases a monster "100 dime play" or whatever, are they actually backing this up with their own money? I find it hard to believe, because damn near every one of them would be bankrupt by now.
Do touts actually bet their own plays?

#3The Langs and other like him that get posted here, no way.
The good ones who for the most part you wouldn't see on here if your life depended on it sure they do. The money they make off of clients just adds to their bankroll.
it isn't hard to tell who does and who doesn't. They use bankroll management in their plays. They don't have GOY plays. You see write ups that detail why they like a play...etcComment -

#10Most of them probably don't otherwise they'll be in the poor house. I do believe a few winning cappers do but I think a few of the said winners probably don't release their best plays to customers because 1. the line already moved after they jumped it because it's not a major line (eg props) or 2. they keep the best for themselves and their friends.Comment -

#11Most cappers don't bet all the games they release probably 50-60% of the games. The only capper I know for sure that plays all his released games is Lang bc he has borrowed money from me many times!

#16On Lang's web page it says,
" I personally play every game I release. I truly believe it's not fair to my clients if I am not going to war with them too."
But I remember seeing a video before Lang was fired from the site, in the video vault, where they asked him if he bet his own plays and he responded NO, he doesn't gamble because he gets to emotional or some shit. I wish I could find that vid again but all I see are the same five A Redd videos on the B Lang . *** web site.Comment -

#22I know I do, any capper worth a damn bets his own plays. When one of my clients has a bad week, then I do as well. You should not use a capper that doesn't, you know where their interest are really if they only sell picks. What capper do you think will be more focused or work harder at improving their craft, the one that has their own personal risk, or the one is just risking their clients money only. I normally don't post in here, but just monitor my demographic of customer, but this hits close to home and decided to finally post. Good Luck to all of you!Comment -

#24I play my own plays, any capper that is legit will play their own plays. Think about what capper would you want working for you, the one that has their own money at risk as well, or just their clients money all at risk. I know playing my own picks, keeps me on my toes to work harder at my craft. I normally don't post here as I stop by to study my customer demographic and to learn what they are looking for in the industry and what my competition is up to. But this topic hits close to home. Good Luck to all of you who are Sports Investors out there, I see alot knowledgable people in here, if you can, you should cap your own games and play them, if you don't have the time to put in the hard work it takes, then find a reputable consultant to help.Comment -

#27I say no, if their plays win they get more subs and if their plays lose they still win because they already have your money.
Dont get me wrong, I think they want you to think they are playing their own plays for obvious reasons but most of these guys are old burnt out degens that are trying to make a buck.Comment -

#29I hear this alot and not all of us cappers have the roll a Billy Walters has. No one that caps unless is lying gets rich quick. I play my picks, and I sell them. I feel I should have the same risk my client does with my own money. I play the games as an investment, it is a slow gain as we all know this is not an easy industry. If you sell the picks, it is good business, why is it a hassle to give out the same information to others your betting on. I'm a decent capper and have my clients, but I'm not in the class to move a line with my package, only because you have to be a respected whale such as Billy Walters. When you watch the Lang movie, you like to think of him being a good capper, but then we you see reality outside the movie, all I see is pound your chest marketing. I'm a consultant, and not a marketer. I'm a small fish in the industry because I don't have a 1-900 tape line, I don't call and harrass customers for money, it is straight honest approach. If I have a bad week, I don't run from it. Do not buy picks from a marketer, do your research, in fact you are the best capper in the long run, it is your money you are risking, you can do this if you study the industry. If one does not have time to study and cap their own games, then that is what we are for, I just get tired of the argument that if your a successful at Sports Investing, that you wouldn't need to sell picks. What is that argument that you can't do both. Good Luck to everyone!Originally posted by easywinnerExcellent point. On a side note though who wouldn't love to have Walters picks.Comment -

#31i love the idea of studying the industry - cause people don't realize they increase juice significantly by paying cappers - then cappers basically have to make 65 percent - which is a dream for 99 percent of themComment -
