Honeymoon Destination

I stayed at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa (https://www.starwoodhotels.com/prefe...ropertyID=1028)

This place was like a paradise - multiple swimming pools - beach was amazing - had a couple of places you could get lost on the property - and was just down the road from "Black Rock" which is some of the best snorkeling on the island. If you do it - make sure you do the snorkeling at Molokini. I probably sound like a commercial but it was absolutely amazing out there. They also have some pretty amazing off-shore fishing if your into that too.

I went to Sandals in Negril, Jamaica for my honeymoon 2 years ago. Best vacation I ever had. All-inclusive! The only thing that I paid for was a private cabana with a personal butler for the day. Get a package with a concierge. They will set reservations for restaurants, set up snorkeling and other activities, refill your full bar in the room etc. Completely safe as long as you stay on the resort. Definitely recommend!

WV, even though she made the offer to follow around the Pirates I would pass on it, make the honeymoon about her. Honeymoons always mean more to the woman than it does the man. Give her an amazing week that she will brag to her girlfriends about.

Yea, I imagine that is the safest way to go about it. I'll probably end up having to leave the country....I hate that.

Not knowing what your budget constraints are . . . Hawaii, Bermuda, New Orleans, Aruba or San Francisco.

I'm not sure, but I think the only other Grand Pineapple resort is in Negril. Cheap all inclusive right in the heart of the action on the beach. Was looking to go there next week, but all booked up until about June or July. Cheap and right next to Alfreds, a top notch place with Live Reggae a few nights a week.

stayed at riu ocho rios 4 years ago it was awesome...stayed at iberostar punta cana 8 years ago beaches are amazing but the food sucked really bad...the oil they use to cook everything there makes it all taste the same...have a great honeymoon boss.

Where do you live now? What's your budget? What does your fiancee like? Does she like the beaches? Does she like casinos? Does she like to be pampered (spa, pedicures)? Does she like to be around a lot of people and night life or prefer secluded places just the 2 of you. Everyone has mentioned some great places but it depends on what she likes. Niagara Falls is a great honeymoon spot in the US, although I'd stay on the Canadian side if you go. The falls really has to be seen and there's a strip with a lot of things to do and see. Vancouver, BC is another great spot especially if you like theatre and music, same for Toronto. None of these will have the beach however.

If you like the beach then I'd go with the Caribbean. I prefer the Bahamas over Jamaica because of the casinos. Those are the cheapest destinations in the caribbean. Puerto Rico is alright but the beaches aren't as nice, the casino's have quirky rules but good deals can be found. Dominican Republic probably has the best all inclusive deals but I hate all inclusives as I like to go to different places to eat. Aruba has the casinos but is a little more expensive then the Bahamas and the beaches aren't as nice. Hawaii is too far to get to for me and the water tends to be more wavy for my liking. The Caribbean islands tend to be somewhat landlocked so you can go sailing, jet skiing, fishing, etc., a little easier (and cheaper)

St. Lucia is an excellent honeymoon spot because not only does it have a volcano but also a tropical forest. You can get all inclusive and it's the most secluded spot next to flying forever to the far east. I've stayed in resorts that have a private suite with it's own plunge pools and views of the beach and volcano's. The flowers there are unreal on the side of the road even. Antigua and the USVI's are similar. You might find some specials in the Turks and Caicos' right now as well. I'd compare it to Key West.

I personally hate cruises because I hate being on a schedule on vacation. I like to get where I'm going and I don't like spending most of my time on a boat. The rooms are small and your surrounded by people. A cruise seems the worst to me for a honeymoon. Do a cruise at a later date.

Check out Couples Resorts in Jamaica. All inclusive, NO kids, wonderful friendly service. Went there a year ago and I will be back. Bring an extra liver... You have to have at least one Bob Marley in the dance club, but watch out that you don' have two (many).
Very safe, wonderful facility and staff. Strongly recommend this place. Best of luck.

Apple vacations is good, we've been to punta cana twice loved it, u.s grand canyon yellowstone lots of good stuff here but you get more bang for your buck out of the country

We originally wanted to stay in the States, but prices are outrageous to go to Hawaii and the Keys. We definately wanted to go to a beach.

We were all ready to book the trip to Couples Swept Away, and then my wife saw pictures of the Honeymoon Suite at Ocean Blue, and was totally interested. I let her make the call, but I can tell we will be doing these things once every couple of years....so we will get to Jamaica eventually.
