I think the issue with this is we are not truly fighting these wars in Iraq and Afganistan we are commiting like 5-10% of our troops and see what happens hopeing to keep it a small conflict. Throw 50-60% of us troops into one of these countries they would be overwhelmed. and as far as Vietnam id wouldent call having a 19-1 kill to death ratio geting our asses handed to us again that war was only a loss due to lack of willingness to finish.

You're offering conjecture and nothing but conjecture. The empirical evidence is squarely on my side. The United States did not win in Vietnam; the United States did not win in Korea; the United States is not winning in Afghanistan or Iraq (and it was the Soviet army that took Berlin, not the American). Kill ratios have not a thing to do with the verifiable outcomes. We can daydream all we want about what would have happened had lots of circumstances been different. But that doesn't have any impact on what actually happened and is nothing more than an exercise in imaginative thinking.

russia is the only country that has done flyby over US carriers and they have done it a COUPLE of times. the closest is roughly 200 yard by su-24 and su-27 on Oct 17th 2000 and the russia poilt sent the pic he took to the carrier after.
