Use to really like watching this show, but every episode is the same. Someone brings in a old gun, then a old history item, and maybe a old toy. The show has been became so scripted, why cant they just do a like other reality shows and just tape everyday life at the pawn shop. There has got to be some interesting stuff that happens there.

not like vegas has been around since the dark ages

yeah used to be a good show then there routine got the same, buy something take it to the restoration place show the item after its been restored.

I think it's got to be very staged, I was looking at Sean Rich's website for Tortuga Trading, he is located in Carlsbad California which is around 240 miles away from Vegas. Now there is now way this guy is jumping in his car and driving to the pawn shop every time a old gun comes in and Rick calls him.

Yeah, the first 5 or 6 shows I watched seemed pretty interesting, but like you guys said it gets old watching the same routine over and over again...

I think it has to be edited, otherwise you would watch people bring in such sh*t. Are they really any better than the check cashing places. I mean they try to come off as good guys but they are making a profit off of everyone that walks in.

i like these types of shows.. pawn stars/ auction kings/ american restoration/ storage wars / hardcore pawn/ scrappers.. etc etc all great shows imo

The show I am hooked on is Storage Wars, which is sort of in the same vein. Guys buying repossessed storage lockers without knowing what's inside. It's the white trash in me, haha.

There all semi/completely scripted. Any of the pawn/repo shows. Operation repo gets more ridiculous every episode

seriously I love this show too.. the stuff they pull out of these lockers makes me want to go storage buying .. i see the auctions in the newspaper. LOL
