Demand was high we only got 115 million shares and an Asian client brought them all.
Did any of you make money from the GM IPO.

#7yup, why wouldn't you. Government is going to take a loss on there money. You can't bail something out then say, it failed anyways...
I also bought 35k of citi group stock when it was under a buck and going to be taken over by the US government...so they bailed out the auto industry, they bailed out AIG, they bailed out the banks...
No risk no reward, and this shit is legal and easy.Comment -

#19Even if you don't buy any shares you are an unwilling shareholder if you pay taxes.Totally unacceptable socialism. From each according to his ability,to each according to his need bullcrap!!!Here is a GM and government comparrison in this whole communist bailout debacle.
The parent is the government and the GM union employee is the 8 year old Beaver Cleaver kid.The little kid recklessly blew his allowances for years on candy and now he left his bike outside where it shouldn't have been and the carnival was in town and a gypsy stole it.Ward Cleaver ''Obama''says to Beaver ''the union workers''I'll buy you that nice Schwinn 10 speed bike in the window of the mom and pop bike shop on Maple Street but you have to promise me that you will pay back the $200 that the bike cost. You will get a paper route and rake leaves at neighbors houses to pay me back. The kid gets the bike and gets a couple leaf raking jobs and makes $4 the first week and says,I'm tired and I don't feel good raking leaves so I'm not going to do it anymore.Ward Cleaver ''Obama''says to Beaver ''the union employees'',ok you made a good effort trying to pay me back and you have learned a valuable lesson so I'll forgive the bike loan. Yea!!!!!Happy Days are here again.GM is self made and got back on their feet all on their own hard work.Na,,,it had nothing to do with the tax payer forgiving all the humongous loans they got that they will never pay back .
If GM was left to die on the vine as the true free market dictated,a solvent company like Ford would have sold more vehicles to people who used to by GM's before it went out of business. The government should have to pay Ford shareholders money as a settlement for their shares being worth less because of the GM bailout.Last edited by BrentCrude; 11-17-10, 09:48 PM.Comment -
