#71.5 carats, but more important, it was V V S2 in clarity (nearly perfect) and G in color (crystal clear). It was a stunner.
Wonder if she sold it when we divorced?Comment -

#17just over one carat for my wife's. but remember that cut is the most important if you want the bling factor, followed by color, then clarity. don't overpay for color or clarity... no one can tell the difference unless it's pointed out to you or you're wife-to-be plans on looking at her ring under a microscope.
and don't listen to anyone who says you can get away with paying $100 for a ring... two months income is the general rule if you're really serious about making it forever.

#18two months income? Thats insane. Why would anyone do that? #19For some of the posters here a two month income wouldn't buy a silver ring let alone a golden ring with a big diamond(s). These are the same people who bitch when their $10 freeplay is not deposited on time at the book of their choice.Originally posted by buckeyemondojust over one carat for my wife's. but remember that cut is the most important if you want the bling factor, followed by color, then clarity. don't overpay for color or clarity... no one can tell the difference unless it's pointed out to you or you're wife-to-be plans on looking at her ring under a microscope.

I buy 2 or 3 quality diamonds on the site monthly.Comment -

#21I was young and stupid....I was 23....had to open up a credit card with the jewelry store to be able to afford it--------it was 1.5 carat princess cut stone-----4.5k, and with the finance charges....cost me nearly 6K.
To her credit, she still wears.
Maybe it was worth it.Comment -

#22holy shit!!! i bought my wife the same exact thing 13 years ago!!!! the ring was certified by that diamond certifying company?? i forgot the name is was sooo long ago! i remember seeing other bigger rings for less but a only an avg grade and clarity... the funny thing looking back, my wife wouldve like the bigger diamond with less grade and less clarity. sometimes women are sooo stupid!!Originally posted by dmtrader1.5 carats, but more important, it was V V S2 in clarity (nearly perfect) and G in color (crystal clear).
