*Watched the two-part documentary on HBO. Highly recommended.
...A few amazing connections that I didn't know before:
1) Billy Joel had been a keyboardist in a rival band on Long Island.
2) Hassles leader Jon Small recruited Billy to join the Hassels. The Hassels had just kicked out their keyboardist, Harry Weber, due to drug use.
3) Harry Weber who was the BROTHER of Elizabeth Weber.
4) Yes, that Elizabeth Weber. Elizabeth Weber who would later marry Jon Small and give birth to son Sean.
5) Same Elizabeth Weber who would have the affair with Billy. She divorced Jon. Billy wrote many of the songs on COLD SPRING HARBOR about Elizabeth.
6) Billy married Elizabeth. Sean became his adoptive son.
