I don't think he is a real announcer. He is a comedian.

I think what PETE REID (aka),
Allaster McKallaster, does to the soccer matches is hilarious.

Meet the Texas Transplant Behind Allaster McKallaster, Soccer’s Viral Sensation

He’s the most “unbiased” commentator in world football who also manages to have some of the best opposing-team insults in the game.

Allaster McKallaster is not only respected, popular, and “the most unbiased commentator in world football,” he’s also very, very Scottish.
Since 1966, McKallaster has provided insightful, and usually quite loud, commentary on classic matches. Choice highlights include Austin FC forward Jon Gallagher scoring a goal through the “hairy legs” of Nashville SC’s keeper, a “proper stramash” that broke out during Derby versus Leeds in 1975, and a promise that Scotland would deep-fry the Spanish national team’s paella during the Euro 2024 qualifiers. With such broadcasting brilliance, it’s no wonder McKallaster’s videos have more than 250 million views across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. While McKallaster mostly comments on the Scottish national team and Austin FC, the English are a frequent target. When I asked McKallaster his opinion of the English national team, his response was classically neutral. “Well, some people would say that the English are overbearing, irritating, arrogant, flatulent, and that they’ve never won anything without cheating,” he saiOf course, McKallaster isn’t, strictly speaking, real. He’s the comedic alter ego of Scottish-born and Austin-based lawyer Pete Reid. No one is more surprised by McKallaster’s success than his creator. “It’s ridiculous,” Reid said. “It’s amazing to wake up in the morning and I’ll have dozens and dozens of comments. I’m probably getting five hundred new followers a day.”McKallaster’s fame even transcends the internet. In 2024, Reid donned the McKallaster wig, glasses, and a kilt to watch Scotland play in Munich during the UEFA European Championship. Reid tried to interview spectators, but fans of McKallaster kept asking for photos and autographs. “Kids and their dads were coming up and saying, ‘Are you the guy from TikTok? Are you the guy from YouTube?’ ” Reid said.
