I just signed back on and see that this thread is out of control. If you are really serious about this:
Get a good pair of jeans with moderate amount of stitching - Earnest Sewn if you can afford them. Levis Capital E if you are on a budget
you have large legs (at least that's what you said) so get "full leg" or "relaxed" fit. Make sure there is a moderate bootcut
do NOT get jeans that are primarily women's jeans but sell to men as well (7 for Mankind, Taverniti So, etc.)
wear boots (Kenneth Cole or Mark Nason) or cool brown oxfords (Steve Madden or Kenneth Cole)
