I personally hate those self check out things. I will avoid any business that has them.

Our local police have told the 3 major supermarkets in town that they will no longer attend or investigate shop lifting reports that involve use of the self serve checkouts.

Would love to find the press release they posted taking the companies to the woodshed about them sacking workers for a system that invites fraud and basically pumping up their profits at the expense of police time to do their security for free, like shoppers do the checking out for them for free.


Shops probably just hire more security staff instead of customer service for checkouts though I bet.
