11 days to go finds Harris campaigning, today, in Texas with Beyonce – where Trump is holding a 6.5% lead – and that's about as dumb as dumb gets. (Maybe tomorrow she'll be in Pago Pago with Eminem.) All that’s left for Trump to do is to firm up his tiny lead in PA, and it’s a done deal.

8 days until the election and, based on the current polling, Trump looks to be about to sweep 6 of the 7 swing states. He’s improved his lead in PA – which is a killer for Harris – and now leads in NV by microtad. My nowcast for today has Trump winning the EC handily: 287 to 251.

I don’t think Harris is fundamentally wrong in labelling Trump a “fascist”. He does seem to check all the boxes. But then, I’m pretty sure that most of the Americans who’ll vote next week are looking for just such a president; an autocrat who promises to fulfill their need to feel dominated by their government, and – most importantly – fuels their petty hatreds and anti-elitist biases.

After a couple of bad polling weeks for Harris, she has regained some momentum the past two days, but still lags slightly behind in PA, and just squeaked ahead in NV. I still have Trump winning the EC vote count: 281 to 257.

Deregulation of financial laws, de-centralization of power (states rights), freedom of speech, right to bear arms - off the top of my head these are cornerstones of the Trump agenda and any one of them is lightyears from actual fascism. They are also features of America's current leftist agenda.

Why don't you tell me what fascist boxes he does check? That his rallies are popular?
Now that we're on this topic - government co-opt of media messaging is 100% a fascist characteristic.
