What does Memorial Day mean to you? Please take a few moments to reflect on those who've made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us.
What is sacrifice and what does it mean to you? Somewhere in a distant land is buried a 25 year old who died fighting a great war in France, leaving behind a wife and young child. Somewhere in a distant land is a 19 year old who died fighting in a place called Vietnam, who will never start a family. Somewhere in a distant land, a 45 year old was killed in a place called Afghanistan, and will never meet his grandchildren. Somewhere, a young boy cries in the dark in his room at night over the father he never really got to know. Somewhere a young woman prepares for her wedding without her mother who gave her life for freedom. Somewhere, an old man and woman still place flowers on that special place where their only son lays eternal. How can we ever forget the amazing sacrifices made for us? So many have laid down their lives and sacrificed so much for all of us. The best way that we can say thank you is to truly be thankful, and pause to remember them and all that they sacrificed.
