'Family Feud' contestant who mocked wife on national TV sentenced for her brutal murder

Timothy Bliefnick, the one-time "Family Feud" contestant who mocked his wife on the nationally broadcast game show and later shot her to death during a bitter divorce and custody battle for their three sons, will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Miami woman whips out gun after Florida Keys crash, cops say. She squeezed the trigger

A fit of road rage after a crash in the Florida Keys on Saturday morning led to a gun being whipped out, the trigger being pulled several times and a Miami couple facing serious jail time.
However, in a strange turn of events, no shots were actually fired, deputies say.
“This was an unfortunate crash that should have been resolved peacefully,” Monroe County Sheriff Rick Ramsay said. “Instead, we have people in jail facing serious legal charges.”
Miami couple Mario Barbado Pichardo, 59, and Damarys Pichardo, 54, were both arrested Saturday. Mario is facing a battery charge and bonded out of Monroe County jail. Damarys is facing charges of attempted murder and criminal solicitation — she is still in jail.

A naked man became ‘agitated’ while at the ER, Florida cops say. Then came the flood

A Florida man went on a wild, naked rampage at a Naples hospital last week and ended up behind bars.
According to a police report from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the North Collier Hospital at around 10 a.m. Aug. 5 in reference to a battery on a nurse and “criminal mischief in the emergency room.”

Inexpensive Add-on Spawns a New Era of Machine Guns

LAS VEGAS — Caison Robinson, 14, had just met up with a younger neighbor on their quiet street after finishing his chores when a gunman in a white car rolled up and fired a torrent of bullets in an instant.
“Mom, I’ve been shot!” he recalled crying, as his mother bolted barefoot out of their house in northwest Las Vegas. “I didn’t think I was going to make it, for how much blood was under me,” Caison said.
Las Vegas police say the shooting in May was carried out with a pistol rigged with a small and illegal device known as a switch. Switches can transform semi-automatic handguns, which typically require a trigger pull for each shot, into fully automatic machine guns that fire dozens of bullets with one tug.

Unfortunately this will get worse before it gets better. Too many people under financial stress. Too many people losing jobs. Too many people facing eviction from their homes. Too many people getting thrown into jail instead of being treated for stress related brain issues. Hold on tight. It's going to be a wild ride.
