Shopper claims they were ‘scammed’ while buying laundry detergent: ‘I wish I knew before I bought them’
The post on the Reddit community r/Anticonsumption, which has nearly 600k members, explains how detergents like Tide Pods and Gain Flings release microplastics into the environment.

Microplastics are pieces of plastic that measure less than 0.5 centimeters across. Out of the 2.41 million tons of plastic waste that goes into the oceans each year, 94% of it is made up of microplastics, and it has been recently discovered that much of this comes from washing laundry.
Researchers have also found that laundry pods leak large amounts of PVA, or polyvinyl alcohol, which can enter water systems and pollute our food chain.
A woman spent $1,400 on seats to the Taylor Swift Eras tour. Then StubHub told her the tickets didn't exist.
NBC Los Angeles reported on an incident in which a California woman, Stefanie Klein, managed to purchase some in-demand tickets for her daughter to see the tour — with a whopping $1,400 price — only for StubHub to reach out to say the seller she'd purchased from didn't actually have the tickets.
Through StubHub's Fan Protect Guarantee, which promises users a full refund plus 200% of their ticket purchase price if they're fooled by fake sellers, Klein believed she'd get her money back quickly.
But she didn't, and she was thrust into a limbo of calling the site repeatedly and getting no help or solutions, she said.
After NBC contacted StubHub to investigate the issue, Klein was offered her refund, but it remains unclear how many other fans are struggling to get their money back after being fooled by fakes online.
Representatives for StubHub and Taylor Swift did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Insider.

Further inspection of the video shows potential racial implications, with the squabble kicking off involving a Black man, allegedly one of the dock workers, and a white man. Another white man can be seen hopping in and jumping the docker. An unnamed woman is heard in the footage yelling at witnesses to “help that brother.”
As per her request, other Black men begin aiding the dock worker in battle, with a young swimmer, who the Alabama Political Reporter has identified only as Aaren, 16, making his way to the dock and moving the action further down the platform, where a boat could be seen docking.
