WASHINGTON - No, Donald Trump did not buy a gun during his trip to South Carolina on Monday - he only said he wanted to.
Social media lit up after the Trump campaign posted a video of him admiring a gun with a likeness of him branded onto it. A now-deleted post said the former president "purchases" a Glock, which was dubbed "Trump 45."
"I want to buy one," Trump said at one point. "Isn't a Glock a great gun?"

The creation of the term “hate speech” helped further the narrative that the First Amendment had limitations despite rational thinkers understanding only speech that is disagreed upon needs protection. While an overwhelming majority of Americans could accept free speech as “inviolable,” a new poll from RealClear Opinion Research found around one-third of Democrats believed the amendment provided “too much freedom.”
After polling 1,000 respondents, RealClearPolitics co-founder Tom Bevan highlighted some of the findings that included, “47% of Dems say free speech should be legal ‘only under certain circumstances. 34% of Dems say Americans ‘have too much freedom’.”
In addition, “75% of Dems say government has a responsibility to censor ‘hateful’ social media posts,” and, he continued, “Only 31% strongly agree with the statement, ‘I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.'”
