Agree with that. I honestly couldn't care less which side so long as they are doing right by the people(tax payers). Most of us want to be safe(strong police, fire dept, national security) and see that our tax dollars are actually being used on Americans(for the most part i do not mind helping others when we can if it makes sense). Other than that, i want to be left alone to live my life without the govt/media trying to tell me what to think etc. Give me the damn facts and I will make my own decision..novel concept isn't it?

The left seems about as far away as possible from that these days as far as what I and the majority of Americans want.

Maybe one day they will trot out someone that is sensible? Does not look like anytime soon with woke/progressive Hakeem Jeffries and Gavin Newsome seemingly their best future candidates.

What is best for the people is my only perspective really. I have no dog in the red/blue fight. Although I am also thinking about what is best for Australia before America as well, which I guess can seem to make some of my opinions strange.

I don't think we can ever expect not to marketed at to tell us what to think. Disguising it as news has kind of wrecked the old style communication channels though. The way to fix that is via the people not accepting any sort of bias from any news source though. Instead of us all gravitating the sources that play to our interests. :\

And yeah, FFS please pick someone sensible. The whole problem started when Dems picked the worst possible easy option with Biden the first time imho. That was the moment for them to find another JFK or Bill Clinton style candidate who could make changes, like Trump is able to be seen as doing.
