Did Biden say countless times he would not pardon Hunter and live with the court's decision or not??

"Nobody is above the law"...I heard Dems say that countless times about this issue and I guess that was a lie as well?

Live with the consequences of your actions...bottom line and yet another failure...

LOL. Take a lap buddy. All of this is an extremely bad precedent and look for my country. All of it including the chaos and bullshit from both parties, candidates, elected etc… People are finally seeing and realizing how this all works… corruption across the board from our “elected” officials. You don’t live here so you don’t care. Quit acting like you do. Don’t respond with something about Trump because that doesn’t matter. Biden made a huge mistake here and set a massive precedent for further abuse moving forward.

Unfortunately there's way too much money in politics and to get anywhere, you can be persuaded to make deals you wouldn't ever think you'd ever even consider. So you either get out or slowly erode your morals and principals going forward. I bet that many said "ok, just this once" but after this, I will be 100%, true self. Then the endorphins kick in after being elected. Then they realizes how easy it is. All the perks and admiration. Probably just a like an actually their. A thief doesn't grow up dreaming about a like of stealing shit. They get a taste of it when the stick a candy bar at the store.

I am willing to believe that many good people were corrupted by the system constantly hearing the voice inside their heads ... "well that's just the way is". So they justify it. Ultimately its their choice and that is why its rather funny when people rag on someone like Trump or anyone of his appointments claiming they have no experience. Experience in what? LOL. I say that's a great thing in many cases.
I simply don’t believe any of them get into politics to spark change or make a difference. That’s pie in the sky stuff.

They get in because most can hardly keep a real job anywhere else. The other get in because they have money and want more of it through less work. Then it’s simple- they open the door and let their cronies, family, donors and friends all get their hand in the cookie jar. They stay in there and refuse to vote on term limits because it becomes a business all in itself and if you can stay in power you have the opportunity to avoid investigations into how you and everyone around you became so rich because of your position. Oh, and the longer you stay the less work you have to do and the more money you get in the form of donations. You also can keep increasing your pension benefits.

I think most people are morally corrupt and delusional that think they are going to create massive change anyway. The change really happens from everyday people doing ordinary and morally right things every single day. Your local volunteer tee ball coach, the guy who buys lunch for a group of folks who are less fortunate, people who donate their time and treasure to real organizations who do real work. People who step up for the family down the street who are in a tough spot. Like the lady running the non profit who truly works her ass off to create change in her small world.

DC and both parties have been corrupted by the money and media associated with it. They don’t give one fu*k about the American people. We see it time and time again. We need term limits to clean out the swamp. There’s a reason a billion + was spent on a job that’s pays $400k. I’d never spend that kind of money on any investment that returned so little but it doesn’t return little… it eventually makes you a millionaire x1-2 hundred and generates even more wealth for those around you.

Hmmm. That's probably a good point.

When CNN came of age at the start of the first iraq war it actually seemed amazing that we suddenly got all this information we never got access to before. It felt like the old ways were terrible in comparison.

I think when cameras invaded Somalia along with troops and ended up making America look bad it probably incited the powers that be to try and control the information a lot more.

Trump flat out pardoned FOUR MURDERERS!!!

No one batted an eye at him letting out the Blackwater squad that killed 14 Iraqi Civilians!!!

Their leader Eric Prince went on to help him plan the insurrection.

And Biden just pardoned his criminal son.

Why are you so desperate to condemn one and condone the other?

Both would be considered corrupt and wrong in many places. Like here...

Dinesh D’Souza has issued an apology over his election conspiracy film “2,000 Mules” on his website.D’Souza now admits that the heart of the film - surveillance footage of vote drop boxes supposedly showing illegal “ballot trafficking” - is false and misleading.

I'm old enough to remember the likes of DipShit arguing that the film is conclusive evidence of voting fraud.

                    Where are Hunter's victims?

I don't generally condone pardons, and particularly family members.
But the reality here is that his crimes aren't nearly as severe as hundreds of those pardoned by Trump.
And that Hunter remains a key politically motivated target for those in the incoming administration.

You're right that the justice system was weaponized for political reasons against Hunter. And if I was his father Id want to protect him too.

But that's not an excuse for such an unethical ditching of the rule of law though.

I'm sure you would agree with that if we switched in Trump as the one being pardoned here.

I disagree about that. I bet most people who start out becoming community leaders and progress through local government do that out of a desire to make positive change.

If any of those manage to climb to the top, or can stay that way as they progress, is another thing though.

Pardoning his son is a hypocite move and should be seen as a big FU to people like yourself who have supported him as an ethical choice for so long.

Presidents are immune from the law.

SCOTUS says they can do that and you can't do a thing.

And the people then mandated that position with their votes.

                                    No backsies now.

There are good people but they rarely get to major positions. I don’t know if I can name 10. The swamp is a lot of people who go right into major party elected office somewhere local/national and are corrupted or become corrupted. I do think there are good people at the local levels doing good things without party affiliation. They are everyday people.

For me- corruption can be defending your parties agenda without being aligned with it or knowingly defending it when it has done more harm than good. Most of the policies both parties offer really. The general public doesn’t really stand a chance. I love when they tell us it’s about the children as they pile debt on them. Also- anyone who takes a major donation to win a position in elected office is compromised. It will never change though.

President's aren't immune from the law. That isn't the SCOTUS said.

Also, Biden pardoned his son for every crime he committed from Jan 1, 2014 to Dec 1, 2024. That was during the time he was magically put of the board of Burisma making millions because of his wealth of knowledge and experience in the Ukraine energy industry. Probably just a coincidence that VP Biden withheld a billion in aide to the Ukraine until they fired the prosecutor who was looking into corruption with Burisma. We are remember video where Biden laughed after they fired the prosecutor and Ukraine got their billion.

Keep in mind, when it comes to presidential immunity, it only covers presidential acts while you are president. Not vice president.

Lastly, you are supposed to do anything for your children. I don't blame Biden for pardoning his son. Back when Biden declared he wouldn't pardon him, I posted on SBR that he was lying. Did you honestly thing he was telling the truth?

Don't gaslight me Dwight. Yes they bloody well did. That's the end effect of their ruling. There is virtually nothing a POTUS can do that can't be framed as part of his duties.

And you seemed very very happy to talk about it as being that far reaching when it was Trump trying to wiggle out of stealing govt documents and conspiring to hide evidence from a subpoena etc.

I am not gaslighting you. Just correcting what you said. There's a difference.

Presidents have always had immunity from prosecution when exercising the 'core powers' of the presidency.

The Court thus concludes that the President is absolutely immune from criminal prosecution for con- duct within his exclusive sphere of constitutional authority. Pp. 6–9. (2) Not all of the President's official acts fall within his “conclusive and preclusive”

Presidents have absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for those official acts which fall within their "exclusive sphere of constitutional authority".

The only reason the court had to get involved this time is because it's Trump. The liberal media will use soundbites to trick people into buying their nonsense. They lie and they know some of you will continue to believe them after all the times their lies have been debunked. It's quite astonishing actually. The one DEI hire on the court who went against the ruling is the same one who couldn't define what a woman is. Remember? "I am not a biologist"!

If Trump sneaks out of the White House to get a Big Mac and decides to randomly shoot people and murders them, he's going to prison. Immunity doesn't apply.

                                            Who's gaslighting who here?

Trump and the Republican party want to destroy democracy and tear up the constitution and democrats want to talk about the next election.

Trump said there won't be another election. So maybe it is time for democrats to realize there is a war against America we need to stop
