I read all about the case today from articles following this as it progressed all year. There were felony indictments for illegally collecting ballots that were later amended to a misdemeanor in a plea deal. The deal involved 2 years probation and a $2500 fine with no jail or prison time. The original felony charges would have prevented her from holding elected or appointed public positions. What'd I miss?
