Trump has been sued for defamation by members of the Central Park 5 - the group wrongfully accused and convicted of assault in 1989.
The lawsuit accused Trump of making numerous false and misleading statements during the September 10 presidential debate when Kamala Harris raised an issue about his lengthy history with the men.Leave a comment:

I'm sure you don't, but you should understand that anyone using that word in a serious way is either trying to undermine democracy or is one of the lemmings who have been "weaponized" to help your overlords achieve that goal.America is circling the drain and you are one of those who are pulling the plug...
Perhaps those committing "that word" are "undermining democracy" to a much more serious
extent than your facetious "weaponized lemmings".
You seem to have a misconstrued sense of fault blaming.
"Overlords" is quite an amusing take but being from down under
I'm sure you cannot stop the blood from rushing to your head.
You are doing an excellent job of not coloring outside of the box
and maintaining dogmatic lockstep.
The thought police are awarding you a tinfoil star.
May you find a glimmer of hope while swirling counter-clockwise.

Six dismissed charges accusing former President Donald Trump and five others of illegally soliciting Georgia officials to violate their oaths of office should be reinstated, Georgia prosecutors told an appeals court.
In a brief for the state's Court of Appeals, lawyers for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said a judge "erred" when he dismissed the charges in March.
The charges, which were among a total of 41 filed against Trump and 18 others in 2023, accuse six of the defendants of trying to coerce state officials into helping overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Trump himself faced 13 counts in the indictment and pleaded not guilty. He is named in three of the six charges that Willis is seeking to have reinstated.

Judge Chutkan has issued a 50-page ruling that largely rejects Trump's demands for more discovery from the federal government.
She notes that Trump could bear responsibility for the Jan. 6 attack even if he didn't explicitly instruct people to attack the Capitol:

More Jan 6 BS exposed
Liability Liz? Text messages raise fresh ethical concerns since Cheney was a DC attorney and local bar rules require approval of defense counsel for any communications with witnesses.
Liz Cheney contacted controversial J6 witness on encrypted app behind lawyer's back, messages show
FLASHBACK: Liz Cheney wanted criminal referrals for "anybody who attempted to influence witness testimony" for the January 6th committee.
She actually thought this would help her now non existent political career . Lmao !
Cheney’s Signal communications with witness Cassidy Hutchinson on June 6, 2022 and her friend, Alyssa Farah Griffin, were recently obtained by Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., chairman of the House Administration oversight subcommittee that has identified significant problems with the original Democrat-run inquiry into the Jan. 6 incident.
The communications are now raising fresh concerns about the ethical conduct of that Democrat-run investigation. At the time of the communication, Hutchinson was represented by attorney Stefan Passantino, who told Just the News he did not authorize the contacts with Cheney and was not aware of them until contacted by Just the NewsLast edited by jt315; 10-16-24, 08:39 AM.Leave a comment:

If it were Kamala who was shot in the ear, we would still be getting bombarded in the proletariat news about how Black women are hated by white men and so on and so forth. The fake news would never let it go.Leave a comment:

I don't believe you live in Lunatic Left Town but you do have tendencies to drive through every so often rather than going around. Who knows why. A good example is you saying the NY case was stupid. Reasonable people can see this.
It was more like 60 judges actually (not that 60 or 90 matter). Just correcting you. The thing with those cases is that they decided that these suits are without standing. Think about it for a sec. How quickly were they dismissed? When do we see cases dismissed so quickly? I get it, because its democracy and balance of power is set to change in a matter of a few short weeks. But is that justice? It seems like these judges just wanted it to go away rather than hear it.
Last point. Don't forget that in Wisconsin, their supreme court voted 3-2 against over turning the election results. Or at least putting it on hold because of how politicians in that State circumvented election laws in all sorts of ways. Sending out ballots to people who never asked for them, accepting ballots after the date, no postmarked, etc. I remember one of those judge saying how disappointed he was in the 3 which voted no. If one of those 3 voted yes, then the entire election could have been changed entirely. One judge.
And I think we need to have some respect for our legal system to prosper as a democracy.
To me, seriously questioning that so many judges went against the law and unfairly refused to hear all those cases is a stroll in loony town too. And it's the thin edge of the wedge that could destroy the union eventually.Leave a comment:

I said from the start the NY case was stupid and should be thrown out.
That's one bad decision driven by an election promise to charge him. Not a "democrat conspiracy". One bad prosecutor.
And as I also said from the start, the justice system will probably get it right, and they have.
Yet your troll-bot spin is that the system is all broken and run by democrats and decisions are all corrupt!
Just like 90 judges should all be ignored because there really was evidence to justify over turning the election but they are all corrupt or wrong.
Wake up and see that YOU are being the sort anti-American activist you call the lefties.

so these lawyers took a case they knew had no merit and they only took it because the taxpayers were going to pay them to bring this ridiculous case to court. And you wonder why lawyers get a bad reputation much of the time.
Now, the fact that the AG was willing to spend millions of taxpayer dollars purely for the hatred of one man because of politics, is grounds for dismissal imo. Its not as if NY doesn't have any issues that need to be addressed and she was just bored with hundreds of millions in surplus that needed to be spent by fiscal year end or she loses it next year. I forget what that's called.
You guys are sucked into those over and over. Frivolous court cases specifically intended to interfere with the election but you refuse to admit it. Trump be taken off the ballot isn't election interference either right? LOL

He's talking about the "democrat lawyers". Same intent as "lawfare" is for the America hating lemmings.
He has been manipulated to undermine democracy same as you are Dwight. That's why you want to agree with him.
Democracy requires some respect for the law.
Do you have any alternative to the current laws apart from just "let's wreck this version of the united states if we can"?

I hope these lawyers do get sanctioned. This was a disgrace.
Absolutely zero coverage on the MSM. I didn't even hear about this when it happened a couple weeks ago.

UNREDACTED: The Historic January 6 Filing From the Department of Justice
Everything you could want in one place: all redactions unredacted; identification of the key DOJ witnesses and turncoats; an alphabetized master list; and more.
Follow this report for the revelation of who everyone named in the filing is. All names in the initial filing were redacted, but this report fixes that problem. Voters have a right to know who’s who.

At one point Trump was warned that Vice President Mike Pence’s safety was in danger, and Trump said he didn’t care.
At another point a co-conspirator working with Trump said “Make them riot” in response to the January 6th crowd.
This filing is more than enough to get a criminal conviction against Trump.
Just as importantly, it makes clear that Trump was not acting in an official capacity when he undertook many of these actions – which means the charges now fall safely within the Supreme Court’s new limitations.Leave a comment:

The Supreme Court may have kept Jack Smith from putting Trump on trial before the election, but Jack Smith is clearly still on track to put him on trial when all is said and done.
Smith obtained permission from Judge Tanya Chutkan to publicly release a redacted new filing spelling out Trump’s guilt, including what Smith said was new evidence. That filing went public today, and it makes clear that Trump really is going down.
The new filing reveals in detail the pattern of crimes that Trump committed in the name of trying to overthrow the 2020 election. It also reveals Trump’s guilty intent in various ways.

A federal judge on Tuesday granted prosecutors’ request to file an up-to-180-page legal brief this week arguing why Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election should not be immune from criminal prosecution, rejecting theformer president’s claims that its timing was unfair or politically motivated with the election fast approaching.
Looks like Judge Chutkan while trying her best to give Kamala in an kind campaign contribution will be heading for another Supreme Court smackdown .
