Milk $1.59 in 1980??? I typically buy milk $2 gallon now. Where do you shop?

Yeah eggs at the moment are still high. But up until a few months ago I could easily get $0.99/dozen.

Cereal is easy to get cheap watch for sales. Routinely $1.50 for a small box.

Soda definitely way up. I remember $3.99/24 pack not that long ago. Now you're lucky to get $9. Good thing I don't drink that garbage anymore.

Billy, surprised it's not even higher.

        6.00^(1/25) - 1 = 1.074. +7.4% inflation per year.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Rising fuel costs are why food prices are soi high now. That was all Brandon's doing.

And money was handed out under Trump because Dems wanted to keep everyone locked in their homes. Trump didn't want to kill the economy, the Dems did.

This is what Trump meant when it said Covid was a "Democrat Hoax" He knew what they were going to try and do. And they did.

That's nonsense. Oil prices have similarly spiked periodically over the past 15 years without leading to inflation. It was the combination of shutdown/supply chain/easy money, not oil prices specifically at all. Oil was higher in 2008 than it is now. And that's pre-inflation type prices. So it's a much lower % now.

It all started with the rise in gas, and that started the day Brandon took office.

Everyone was warned that the cost of everything else would rise right along with the fuel prices.

It's not rocket science that when the cost of transportation goes up, so does everything that gets transported.

                                      Nonsense he says...

YOU voted for this, just take the L.

Car insurance for 20 years. No accidents or claims. Raised 25% this year. Their excuse.?. Everything has gone up.

Haven't checked out the Home Insurance yet, but I'm sure they will have me shopping around.

they were everywhere growing up. I remember watching strippers and asking the waitress for quarters to go to the machine. That was a long time ago now. I don't smoke anymore but a few years ago I went to New Zealand, Australia and then Thailand and Cambodia among other places on a 3 month vacation. In New Zealand they were $20 a pack and in Cambodia around $1.

It worked to stop most people smoking. But now it's just creating poverty for the poor and mentally ill types that can't stop.

I mentioned 40 packs as that's the cheapest way to buy them.

Yeah but what is that compared to the minimum age at the time?

Not saying you are not right, because you are, but that's the comparison they often make.
