Traditional snowbird spots that everyone else goes Florida, California, Arizona, Texas don't have what I'm looking for. Places that have what I'm looking for Vegas, Atlantic City don't have nice warm weather all winter. I'm looking for a place that has multiple corporate style casinos like you see in Vegas, not Indian casinos and weather that's in the 60s or higher daytime all winter. I can't find anywhere like that in USA and I'm only interested in the USA also. There has to be some place I overlooked. So far Vegas is the closest I found that fits the criteria but the weather seems screwy there looking at reports. Like they have lows in the 20s and 30s and highs only in the low 50s or high 40s coming later this month for a long stretch. That's too cold for me for a snowbird spot. Anybody know of or been anywhere I overlooked?
Where's a good place to "snowbird" if you like to gamble?

#3Good call man. Totally overlooked that area as I was sure I had overlooked areas. Im researching it now. Looks like there's about 10+ casinos in that area. I had no idea. I thought Tunica was the only place in MS with a cluster of casinos. Thanks for the info.Comment -

#5Man there's been some screwy shit happening at the MS casinos lately. A few days ago some guy bit off another guys nose at one. Then yesterday somebody tried robbing the poker room at one. That's pretty crazy but you get riff raff everywhere can't escape it in America unfortunately. Ya Atlantis looks epic but I want to stay on the U.S. mainland. I was looking at Miami and while they have Indian casinos, and I much prefer corporate Vegas style casinos, the ones in Miami don't look too bad for being Indian. I'm mainly just interested in the poker and the baccarat anyway. Florida has by far the best weather in winter but they dont have sports betting. It's always something. We can never have it all. Joe aren't you the guy that was traveling around to different places during the covid shutdown bs and still gambling in places that were still open? I thought I remember a thread about that. If that was you what are some of your favorite gambling cities and casinos in general that you've been to regardless of the weather there?Comment -

#10Off strip Las Vegas terrific and you still have the strip if need be. All big corporation backed. Summerlin/Green Valley areas. Weather can be spotty. We have snow on our mountains right now and cold. I like the idea of Biloxi a bit better for you. Enjoy.Comment -

#12Damn so many good suggestions. Thanks guys I appreciate it. I think I might have to hop around now to the suggested places and see which one I like the best. It's too bad, for me at least, that Florida repealed or whatever happened sports betting. That would've been everything I was looking for. With Florida off the board man it's slim pickens for both warm winter weather and clusters of casinos in the same spot. Was really wanting to do some golfing and tennis too and Florida is killer in those areas. Anyway you guys gave me some good suggestions so here's mine to everyone. Don't take life for granted. We're here today gone tomorrow. I lost both my parents, my best friend and my dog all just this year. If there's something you wanna do, something you're passionate about, somewhere you wanna go, do it now. There's no guarantee of next month next year whatever. If you need to make amends with an old friend or family member do it now. Every day is a gift. Embrace it.Comment -

#13well there's really 2 decent ones (harrahs/boomtown)... i wouldn't count stuff like crescent city, the slots at fairgrounds, oasis, truck stops, paris slots, or carnival club as real casinos but there are really a bunch of shitty slot places if you look aroundComment -

#15Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. Life can be brutal sometimes but there's still a lot of joy in it. It's really just a choice to learn from the negative things in life and embrace the positive aspects. When you hit rock bottom you can only go up. That's my perspective anyway.Comment -

#16Ok I've been on a bit of a binge been away from here for a couple weeks. I learned something though. It got cold as fill in the blank in about 75% of the country last week. Like it was as cold or maybe even colder in the south as it normally is in the midwest in winter where I'm from. So what I've learned is there really isn't a place in America that has Vegas style gambling and warm weather all winter. It just doesn't exist in the USA. It's almost like a joke like it's set up that way deliberately. Vegas is the only place close and I would still consider Vegas to have cold weather in winter. It's better than most of the country as far as winter weather but not great like a Miami or LA winter climate. This country is a joke. Literally none of the warm weather states have sports betting or even Vegas style casinos. I'm talking like Hawaii, California, Texas, Georgia, Florida. Arizona has sports betting but I mean if you're gonna go there might as well just go to Vegas. I was in Mississippi and it got really cold. Plus it's mostly hood except for right around the resorts. I mean damn I got outta there. If I'm gonna freeze anyway might as well be somewhere nicer. I rolled to Iowa for the time being. It's nicer here not hood not crime ridden. It's cold though definitely no snowbird spot. I just can't believe Vegas is the only warm weather gambling mecca in the USA. I guess I'm gonna move there eventually. No other options.Comment -

#20For all I know this might be Hell I'm living in right now. If it wasn't so damn cold in Michigan I'd be up that way to visit you and moneyshot he's from MI too. You guys are 2 of my favorite posters. Idk how you guys do that cold weather all year in MI though. I get frostbite just thinking about it. Lol. Iowa is kinda a mickey mouse state. They have sports betting and Vegas style casinos but the table games are closed all day cause its dead. I've never been to a casino where the baccarat and roulette tables were all closed. I asked pit boss what was up like can I get a game of baccarat going. He said no come back tonight at like 10pm. Shits a joke. In Vegas you can play whatever you want at 10am or 10pm. Books are crowded though I'll give Iowa that. Longest lines out of any books I've been to in USA. I'm getting the hell outta here it's a mickey mouse state for gambling.Comment -
