When gay marriage was legalized nationally 7 years ago, I told you that the woke community was not going to stop there. They moved it from gay people to transgenders. Now that they have moved that forward, they are finally becoming more open about the next group they want to appease. I told everyone they would eventually do this, but was harshly criticized that it would never come to this. Well, here you go! More and more "experts" are being brazen and defending this group of sickos now. Don't tell me that there isn't a social agenda out there.

That is what codified the issue. And once you codify it, you are legitimizing all sides wanting more rules and laws surrounding it.
If they just kept their noses out of where people were choosing to pee we would not be here now..Comment -

Saying gay people should never have been allowed to marry based on some unrelated personal issue you have is hard to be sympathetic toward for me, and I'd hope 90% of well adjusted human beings.
Posters on here who claim to be patriots and love the land of the free but want to dictate what opinions are allowed, censor information you deem might convince others to a view you do not approve of, tell women what health care options they are allowed to choose and insist the laws of the land should fit a christian bible, but only in the way they interpret it of course.
Why don't you see it that way too? You seem like a cool person in general. Do you really actually tell people what they can think and do in real life? I somehow doubt it..Comment -

#17Not really an “unrelated personal issue”. You just view marriage from legal context where as religious people don’t. When a deeply religious ex of mine explained it to me I was able to understand it without being hateful towards them. Church created marriage and it was something sacred to them within their church. The institution that created marriage is against gay marriage. It’s their thing to begin with if government never got involved it would be a non-issue. It’s equivalent of forcing a Muslim business to serve you pork. Marriage and Christianity is so intertwined in our society now that it has become bigger than its origins and that’s why it is a problem now. But I can “get” how someone deeply religious (who also has a lot of other weird shit they adhere to) could be against gay marriage but not be some racist bigot homophobe. My ex has no problem with gay people at al she just doesn’t want them getting married in her church. Just like they wouldn’t want someone unbaptized or non follower either. Not trying to start an argument here. I do not agree with my ex. I am just saying I can “understand” her, even if she is dumb, without getting all polarized over it. Just like my old roommate who wouldn’t let me turn the lights off certain times of week because of some dumb religious thing. I don’t assume he wants to force that upon people in their own homes and is hateful to those who turn their lights off just because that’s the rules in his house.Originally posted by OptionalYou're right.

#18I think trying to conflate same sex marriage with some lunatic wanting to advocate for "child love" is a completely unrelated personal issue of Mr KLC.Originally posted by PharaohUBNot really an “unrelated personal issue”. I also try to respect people's religious beliefs. But anyone can kick rocks the second they start trying to tell me I should be forced to follow their beliefs too.
If only the judgmental religious types who spend all their time telling other groups they will probably never even intermingle with what they should think as well, the world would be a much different place.
I think your friend and her church should be allowed to serve whoever they choose to, or not to. And I don't think Mr KLC is a racist/homophobe/bad person at all. My father would probably think the same way if he was still here. We are all a product of our times but right now is not "our times". The next generation are making the decisions for the future..Comment
