I filled up Fri at $3.99 a gallon. It was $4.09 over at the interstate at all 3 stations and truckstop.

But couple miles over, just outside the area for required reformulated gas, it was $3.99

The station doesn't advertise Marathon gas, but that's what they get from the local distributor.

    $3.56/gallon

I always get it for $.09/gallon or less because I rack up Kroger points.

you really think that will last until October?

Good ole Trump this country had nothing and was nothing until he was elected President ,then overnight everything was wonderful. How this country made it for over 230 years without him ill never know
Nobody else would have thought to buy oil at record lows while a pandemic was going on, and nobody was using or buying it!! He must be the smartest person living today. Nobody was buying and they ran out of places to store it.

The whole month of June they released 5 million total barrels. And most, if not all had to be sold open market(well, all oil is open market) and because of the quality of the oil and all of our refineries running at max capacity(they've been running at 95-96% capacity vs 2019 at 92-93%) the oil was sold and/or shipped to be refined overseas. But we as a country use 20+ million A DAY. No one is close to us. China is around 14-15 million. That 5 million barrels over a whole month is nothing.

Why so many of y'all using 92-93 octane? Heck, around me, most places all have the mid and highest grades blocked out, or signs on the pumps saying it's out. And it's been that way for months. Most mom and pop independent, no contract/affiliation with a major company, type stores, are all mostly only 87 octane.

Every car i've ever owned over 30 yrs has ran perfectly fine on 87 octane.

All of y'all silly thinking Trump or Biden has anything to directly do with gas prices. Gas is up across the world, but Biden ain't the reason. Hell, inflation is double digits across most of the world too. I guess Biden is the cause of that as well.

We, America, the USA, are producing the most oil, consuming the most, and exporting the least(in terms of other top oil producing countries), and are one of top importers.

We consume a shit ton of oil in this country. No one is even close.

But, but, but China! People will point to their overall energy consumption. Mainly their use of coal. Yes, they still use a lot of coal. But they are constantly expanding their use of renewables.
But, if you take all of China's energy consumption(which is #1) and compare it to the US total energy consumption and then divide by population, the US destroys China. No other Country is touching us on energy consumption per capita.

According to the 12 yr old article, it seems to be nothing new. Says it's been happening since the 1950's.

Plus, it has quotes from residents saying they have to use electric blankets and or electric space heaters, until the government controlled coal fired furnace systems are fired up every Nov 15th.

SEE that's crazy here in south central/east Tennessee low was $2.17 in 2020. when Biden took office $2.29 1 month later $2.39. today its $3.79 the high was 4.69

Funny how the price in the mid-west moved more from the lowest to the highest than it did in the southeast

                                                      Iowa $1.25 to $4.83

That $1.25 is the lowest I've heard of since the early 2000's it beats the 2nd best by a lot!! $1.79 other lowest during pandemic that I saw

Same in Georgia at that time. That was when I didn't fill up my car for 4 weeks as our office closed due to covid and we were working from home.

Toilet paper $10 for a 4 roll and that was if you were lucky enough to find any at the store.
