The suspect has had multiple contacts with police, including two previous cases resulting in use of force, Hamilton said.
He was previously accused of battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. His last contact with the Los Angeles Police Department was last year and resulted in him being detained.

As with gun control measures proposed by the left these days, I know my measures have nothing to do with the actual mass stabbings and would not stop anything, but, they are "common sense" measures that criminals will ignore, and lawful citizens abide by, so I can possibly cause the arrest of thousands of my knife-wielding political opponents.....
