Obit: Is this the RON PATAKY that was associated with Dorothy Kilgallen?

    Age/Career/Location are spot-on.

If so, it's the passing of a guy who VERY LIKELY got away with murder, scot-free. Read about it. The only logic is that he was wired to insiders, and it was designed to go un-punished. Was Ron a CIA operative? Or was he tied into Mobsters who could pay off judges?

Cannot be. Dorothy was born in 1913. This dude was born in 1935 and was 22 years younger and not 12 like the age difference was.

I read that book about Dorothy that pointed out who likely killed her. She was really a great broad. Ahead of her time, woman-wise. She was on that game show, What's My Line for a long time. A bunch of episodes are on YouTube. Lots of funny stuff.

Smells like Marilyn Monroe. Mob style hit. Chloroform over nose, stripped naked and drugs shoved up their wazuki for OD. Forensics in that day and age was pitiful.

Bucky, I think you're OFF a bit. I understand your timeline.

Yes, Dorothy was into her 50s. She was killed when she was age 52.

Pataky was a good-looking dude. The Shaw book talked about how easily he could pick up women. Dorothy was pretty good-looking and she was a bit of a celebrity.

Pataky was in fact about 20 years younger than Dorothy. Dorothy's marriage was failing. Yes, Dorothy at age 50 may have been seeing 30-year old Pataky.

Bucky, I have to look a little closer on the age thing. Pataky had been alive, as of a few years ago. That obit looks awfully close to the Ron Pataky from Columbus OH.

Dorothy LOOKED pretty good, better than her biological age of 52. Pataky was good enough looking to easily pick up trim. I think the age gap was bigger than people think.

Yes. The best interview is the hairdresser Marc Sinclaire. Sinclaire was gay, so there was no anxiety. Dorothy opened up and talked to Sinclaire as a friend.

Sinclaire had keys to the townhouse. He went in there and found the body. He knew immediately that that death scene was staged:
              1) In the wrong bedroom, a room she hated.
              2) No ruffled sheets, as if she was placed there.
              3) Book upside down, a book she had already read and hated.
              4) No reading glasses, which she needed to read.

Total bullshit. And the Medical Examiners' office was a disgrace.

Props to Shaw. Fantastic book, well-researched.

See this Pataky bio, which has not yet been updated with death from week ago:

A detailed biography of Ron Pataky that includes images, quotations and the main facts of his life. Key Stage 3. GCSE American History. A-level. Last updated: 8th November, 2022

Same birthdate (5/21/1935). This MFer got a pass. Death of a woman and she was sent off as a "alcoholic" and "pill-popper" who committed suicide.

Good mystery story. This day and age of DNA might have been able to do something with the evidence.

Buck, I have some info for you:

                    1) I know Shaw (the author) at one time wanted to exhume Dorothy's body to do DNA testing.
                    2) The age was indeed an error. On another site, they listed a 23-year age gap (close enough to 22). I think the math was off by ten years. Pataky was 22 years her junior.
                    3) Believe it or not, I got confirmation straight from the horse's mouth. Shaw replied to me and said the age was corrected in a later edition of the book. And yes, Shaw confirmed that the deceased guy was in fact Pataky.

Today it is so easy to make copies, cloud storage, flash drive, anything. Make it easy for the authorities to retrieve her research upon her death. Her killer must have been confident there was only one copy.

Yes, Buck. Shaw talks about this in the post-script.

How much of a set up is this? On the morning that she died...there were cops in a squad car outside the townhouse. After she was pronounced dead...the cops walked into her room and started carrying out boxes. The butler (James) stepped in to stop them. Cops just pushed him aside and kept clearing out her belongings.
