    "The Irishman": a few questions
    1) Did Sheeran kill Jimmy Hoffa?
...Way the facts were laid out, I believed it. Hoffa trusted Sheeran. It's plausible that Sheeran got the order to whack Hoffa.

    2) Is it just me...or was Pacino's acting WAY over the top in that film?
...If they wanted to present Hoffa as delusional, that was one way to do it. I just can't believe Hoffa would be that naive.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

I saw it when it first came out and honestly don't remember it all that well. This means the movie kinda sucked...

It is one author’s story. You cannot take it as the truth.

Well-said, Bucky. Think I bought this one ("I Heard You Paint Houses") too literally.

Authors are in the business of selling books. If they don't promote their book, they don't make money.

            He did not kill Hoffa

The movie left out Sheerans biggest dirty deed, and did so for political purposes.

Sheeran fixed Bidens 1st ever campaign, vs Boggs, but shutting down the printers & delivery of mailers- thus decapitating Boggs advertising leading up to election day.

He then forced / coerced the Union members to cast votes for Biden.

It's well documented & sourced in the book, but DeNiro is a HUGE Biden guy and didn't want that eluded to in the movie.

              I didnt see it

I was skeptical that it was as good as the reviews, especially since it was so long I have been hesitant to watch

TRIN, I don't watch many modern movies. Here's what I can say:

                1) I thought it was gripping. Held me in so that I needed to watch til the end. And I DISCARD MOST modern movies after 10 minutes.

                2) There's enough drama to make it compelling.

                3) The acting is MOSTLY pretty good. It passed as authentic for me. My one exception is Pacino...unless that's exactly what they wanted to portray. And I like 80% of the work that Pacino has done.

The entertainment passes the test for me. Only question is how much liberty they take with truth. The plot seems plausible. And the facts are supposedly corroborated be enough people. Who knows the truth?
